Parking

The Diwali celebrations are expected to draw huge crowds to Leicester. Attendees are urged to plan ahead for parking since many roads will be closed. There are more than 8,500 spaces available across the city, with parking available on both the outskirts and in the city center.

• On Sunday, during the event, parking will be free after 6 p.m. in the city center.
• Park-and-ride services will be running, with buses every 15 minutes from outer sites into the city.
• Drivers are encouraged to use public transport or walk where possible.
• Local road closures will be in effect to accommodate the event.
